Executive sponsor memo
Practitioner Intensive
This is not a training request.
It is a read on a transformation you are already funding.
The Practitioner Intensive assembles a cohort around one live transformation — ours — and does not end in a binder. It ends in three artifacts about the work you are accountable for.
Why you are being asked to sponsor it
A director or VP cannot self-approve this, because it is tied to a mandate you own. The cohort will read the transformation you are carrying, name where value is breaking, and defend the finding. That requires your authority to grant access and your willingness to hear the result.
Why our existing disciplines have not surfaced it. A sponsor is exposed when delivery can report progress but cannot show which required operating conditions have been satisfied, which remain unresolved, and whether the evidence supports the transformation claim. Agile, change management and delivery reporting each do their job on the work in front of them — none is accountable for whether the enterprise actually changed, which is why this reads as green while the outcome stays uncertain.
What comes back to you
- A defensible diagnosis. Where value is breaking in the live transformation — grounded in traced work and dated evidence, not opinion.
- An Enablement Blueprint. What must change, who owns it, and what evidence will show it — sequenced so the work can actually move.
- A value realization plan. How value will be realized and proven, with claims bounded to what the evidence has earned — and what remains unproven stated plainly.
What it asks of you
- Name the transformation the cohort will run on.
- Grant access to the people and records the read requires.
- Attend the defense and accept the finding, including the parts that are uncomfortable.
What it does not do
- It does not replace the program, the PMO or the delivery plan. It sits above them and holds them to a defined state.
- It does not carry the mandate. If the finding needs someone to carry enterprise intervention, that is ETEGY — a separate decision.
- It does not guarantee an outcome. It establishes what is actually true.
The risk of not doing it
The alternative is not zero risk. It is proceeding on a baseline nobody has reconciled, and discovering the gap after the platform spend is committed. The cost of the read is small relative to the commitment it protects — which is the case for doing it before the next gate, not after.
What I need from you: a named transformation, and a yes to discovery.
One conversation scopes it. Recognition is a Certificate of Applied Completion — earned by working a live transformation through the system and defending the result.
